FTOPS VIII Announced For May

The eighth installment of the flagship Full Tilt online series will see over $10 million won in twelve days

FullTiltPoker.com has announced that the eighth edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series, which will feature over $10,000,000 in guaranteed prize money. The eighth FTOPS will run from 7th – 18th May, and will feature 24 individual tournaments with a grand final on 18th May with a $2 million guaranteed prize pool and hosted by Jennifer Harman.

While the final should attract a large Internet entry field from novices to professionals, the FTOPS will also host almost every game in the poker repertoire from No-Limit Hold'em to HORSE and Razz to Omaha. There will be a $2,500 two-day No-Limit Hold'em tournament held just before the main event and FullTiltPoker.com stated that there would also be a few ‘mystery’ events with details revealed once the tournament begins.

Every player to reach the final table of any of the 24 events will receive a limited-edition ‘brag jacket’ while winners are to get a gold FTOPS jersey along with a gold jersey avatar for use on FullTiltPoker.com and entry into the FTOPS Season II Tournament of Champions. This freeroll event will take place May 24 and is offering the winner the possibility of a sponsored seat at the next World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas.

FullTiltPoker.com stated that players could win seats to all of the events at next month’s tournament through its Satellite Challenge along with its special ‘Bouncebackability’ freeroll, which is offered to the last player eliminated before the money bubble in all events with the prize a seat at the next FTOPS main event.
