Ontario Man Won It For The Kids

Jack Hinchey has been playing Poker near 30 years without winning anything of note but ho life changed for the man from Ontario last week when he bagged a $1 million jackpot. What started out as an online tournament with over 2,000 participants suddenly saw Hinchey stake a claim for the top prize by being one of the final 10 remaining when the online game finished. This is where is all got a little surreal!
Hinchey, a plumbing repair man, and he other 9 who made it through were then flown to a historic Spanish castle where they sat down to play for the $1 million jackpot. While many in his situation may have succumb to the pressure, the bright lights and the totally new environment, Jack Hinchey kept his nerve to take the top prize to rapturous applause on his return home. His motivation was?
In what can literally be claimed to be a rags to riches story, Hinchey did it all for the kids – well his 10 year old granddaughter Victoria whom he dreamed of putting through university when she was older. Well, life has changed for Jack and it seems that his granddaughter will go through university with more than enough backing to give her a great start in life. A win win situation if ever there was one!
