Is The Integrity Of The 2008 WSOP At Risk

In a follow up to our earlier article there has been much speculation about what may or may not happen during the 4 month break between the main tournament at this year’s WSOP and the final table which will be played in November. Some of the possible scenarios include :-
Coaching
Imagine if you are one of the unfancied players who make it through to the final with the chance of winning a multi-million dollar prize pot, surely you would pay for extra coaching? Or offer a share of your winnings for coaching by a professional player?
Splitting The Pot
During the 4 month break there is a real risk of player colluding together to split the pot between them, attack one player or arrange a minimum payment agreement for each player.
The truth is that nobody quite knows what will happen, but one thing which seems certain, the players who sit down for the final table are likely to be unrecognisable from those who got through the earlier qualifying rounds. Who in their right mind would sit around for 4 months waiting for the day? Surely you would be looking to improve your skills and increase your experience?
