Potawatomi Casino to give "more reasons to visit" Milwaukee

A leading figure in Milwaukee's tourism industry has spoken of his belief that the expansion of the state's Potawatomi Bingo Casino may help increase the number of visitors to the region.
In a column for the Small Business Times publication, Doug Neilsen, the chief executive and president of Visit Milwaukee, said the smoke-free gaming resort "will soon provide travellers with even more reasons to visit".
Discovery World and the Harley-Davidson Museum were also mentioned alongside the venue, which houses 1,800 slot machines and most major tables games, including poker, three-card poker, baccarat, roulette, craps and blackjack.
The Potawatomi Casino may not prove to be as attractive as Mr Neilson suggests, however.
Casinos across the US have been hit hard by the economy so far this year and it is possible that its revenues may decline as has been the case with a number of major gaming companies such as MGM Mirage and Harrah's Entertainment.
